To prepare students for this new, technically challenging environment, educators are expanding their methods of teaching by taking the approach of college and career preparation. The idea is to make the connection between education, personal interests and future career goals. A student will be more motivated to achieve greater academic success if he or she sees an eventual practical reward.

Business Partnerships
The State Center Consortium is bringing together all segments of the community to put college and career preparation into action. Businesses - an essential part of the program’s success - are involved in class projects, worksite tours, job shadowing for both students and teachers, onsite job internships and apprenticeships.
