   CAREER PATHWAYS

LEA

Career Pathways are clusters of occupations that have common work environments. People who work in a particular pathway share similar interests and talents. Career Pathways include occupations that require all different levels of education and training.

Career pathways are for everyone! By exploring Career Pathways you learn how to prepare for your future!

Career pathways have several benefits:

  1. They help you see how the skills and knowledge you are developing in school relate to a range of career options.

  2. They help you learn about a variety of career options and not focus on narrow training for individual jobs.

TERRILL

People change their minds about what they like all the time. Believe it or not, you will probably change careers six to eight times when you're an adult. Career Pathways organize the information you are learning in a way that is interesting to you, AND you still learn basic things like reading, writing and mathematics. When you learn something in one Career Pathway, you can take that knowledge with you to another. No harm done, and you've learned something important about your career interests.
